Not because anything’s broken.
Just because it thinks it needs to slow everything down.
And once that brake is on…
everything you’re doing feels different.
You can eat clean, train hard, do all the “right” things…
and it’s like you’re pressing the gas while the brake is still up.
You’re putting in effort.
But you’re not getting the same response back.
And that’s when it really started bothering me.
Because I kept thinking—
“Why didn’t I have this problem before?”
I used to tighten up just by cleaning up my diet a little.
I didn’t have to fight this hard.
And the answer is…
that system was always there.
It just wasn’t strong enough to matter.
When you’re younger, your body has plenty of energy.
Fat-burning works the way it’s supposed to.
So even if that “brake” kicks in a little…
you barely feel it.
But over time, things shift.
Energy drops.
Your body becomes more cautious.
More reactive.
And now, that same system that used to sit quietly in the background…
starts taking over.
Now the brake isn’t just there.
It’s actually holding you back.
And when I really thought about it…
it finally made sense why nothing I tried ever stuck
Because everything out there follows the same idea:
burn more… or eat less
But none of that fixes what’s actually going on
If your body is already trying to slow things down…
pushing it harder just makes it push back harder
Take fat burners for example
they try to force your body to burn more
boost your heart rate, make you sweat, give you that “kick”
But if your body is actively trying to reduce output…
you’re just pressing the gas while the brake is on
So you might feel something at first…
but your body compensates and pulls back even harder afterward
Same thing with appetite suppressants
